Blaauw Products is a green company. We operate in a sustainable manner and are committed to energy saving, cleaner air and restricted use of materials.

Energy

By using the right materials and techniques our kilns are “green”. We prefer to use lightweight insulation materials that have excellent insulating qualities. Thus the use of energy in our kilns has been reduced by 60% in comparison with traditional kilns. This saves money, i.e. lower energy bills.

Clean Air

As a result of the reduced use of energy our kilns have a much lower CO2 exhaust. However, this is not our only contribution to cleaner air: in many kiln installations we provide afterburners that ensure that flue gases enter the outside air ‘cleansed’. Carbon hydrogens in particular do not end up in the environment thanks to said afterburners.

Reduced Use of Materials

Every day we are making products with a low use of materials. More and more we are rebuilding kilns to lengthen their life. This is cheaper than newly built kilns and involves substantial savings on material. Most of our basic materials are recyclable.
