Hyflux Membrane Manufacturing (Singapore) specializes in the production of purification systems. In the plant where our kilns are installed, they produce ceramic membranes of various pore sizes. The firing process must be followed very accurately, if not, the membranes break by reason of too sharp a rise in temperature.

The kilns for this company have been specially designed to allow the complicated and difficult baking process. During the baking process (debinding) a lot of energy is released, whereas the process should precisely slowly increase in temperature. During debinding many carbohydrates are also released which must be purified. Purification of carbohydrates from the burnt air is effected by means of an afterburner. Several important aspects of these specific kilns are:
