Susan Davy

The kiln of Susan Davy Pottery (Minot, USA) is a good example of a medium-sized pottery using traditional and reduced glazing. The products, such as bowls, vases and plates are baked at about 1260ยบ C in a reductive (gas excess) atmosphere.

This kiln is:

  • very low on energy (the kiln uses 40% less gas compared with traditional kilns);
  • very easy to (un)load;
  • fully automatic as to temperature, reduction and cooling.
